Projects

GR2 provides safe, high quality, cost effective solutions for our clients coast to coast. Our highly skilled and experienced management team and field staff have completed all phases of projects from large scale remediation and construction, to surgical removals and installations.

Abatement

GR2 saved the client significant dollars and time toward its goal of demolishing a 454-unit apartment complex to make way for a retail development.

The scope of work included asbestos-containing material (ACM) abatement of sheetrock on walls and ceiling in the apartments. GR2 was awarded the $1.5 million contract to perform the abatement work.

Asbestos abatement and demolition of an eight-story, high-rise building and five ancillary structures.

The scope of work included a turnkey study, investigation, and a survey of ACM and universal waste.

Asbestos abatement at a manufacturing facility in Carrollton, Texas.

The project involved removal of asbestos-containing floor tile and mastic and piping joint compounds.

Civil Construction

GR2 performed the construction of a five acre anaerobic and aerobic wastewater pretreatment system in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Both ponds included a 60 mil HDPE bottom liner, and a 100 mil HDPE floating cover system was installed over the anaerobic pond. The cover system included a bio-gas collection system for the collection and removal of gasses generated during microbial activity.

GR2 installed additional treatment system components including an equalization tank, aeration system, sludge return system, and clarifier at the facility.

GR2 performed basin rehabilitation activities for this two-acre wastewater basin at the Olaton facility.

GR2 installed a temporary pumping and filtration system to remove the existing wastewater. The filtered wastewater was pumped to another onsite treatment basin about 2,500 feet from the basin being rehabilitated. Once the basin was dewatered, the existing 40-millimeter high-density polyethylene (HDPE) liner was removed and properly disposed of at a permitted landfill.

Completed Project

GR2 completed the construction of two 10.5 million gallon holding ponds and two 500,000 gallon sediment ponds in Cleveland, AR. GR2 activities included erosion control, site clearing/leveling, and pond construction, pond under drain system, liner installation, and construction of loading and unloading bay, storm water system installation, and final grading. GR2 cleared and graded approximately 75 acres to facilitate the construction of the ponds. The pond construction consisted of placing approximately 68,000 yards of material to be compacted and proctored.

Decommissioning

Decommissioning and demolition of a Dry Barn Facility in Greenville, Mississippi.

The area encompassed 28,000 square feet of footprint and included three tower blenders and associated baghouses, raw material storage areas, and finished product storage areas.

GR2 conducted the decontamination and demolition of three one million gallon ASTs at an agricultural chemical facility in Mt. Vernon, Indiana.

The ASTs were pressure washed; poly liners removed, decontaminated, and disposed of; tanks were demolished utilizing a hydraulic shear and transported off-site for recycling; and final grading to achieve positive storm water runoff.

GR2 performed the decontamination of a 35,000 square foot warehouse / manufacturing facility in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Site activities included: chemical collection, identification, and packaging for disposal; equipment and machinery liquid removal, decontamination, and dismantling; paint booth decontamination; ventilation system decontamination and removal; electrical and air drop removal; asbestos abatement; and the decontamination of floors, walls, and horizontal surfaces.
